Description

Public Health Nurses help individuals and families prevent illness and maintain and achieve good health. Public Health Nursing has a variety of programs that help improve the health and development of our County residents. Anyone may request Public Health Nursing Services. There is no charge for these services.

Public Health Nursing Services and programs include home visits with pregnant/parenting moms, their babies, high risk infants and children, other family members, including adults and seniors. Public Health Nurses also collaborate with Department of Public Social Services for follow-up with infants and children at risk of child abuse/neglect and also follow up with children placed in foster care homes.

The Administrative Team oversees and monitors the various programs and staff in Public Health Nursing.

Public Health Nursing Assistant Nurse Managers and Senior Public Health Nurses are based throughout the county in order to provide maximum support to staff.
